The African Migration Observatory (AMO) Participates in High-Level AI Governance Roundtable
On May 28th, 2024, the African Migration Observatory (AMO) took part in a high-level AI governance roundtable hosted by Microsoft in Marrakech, a side event during GITEX Africa. Ms. Sanaa Kiadi, Migration Senior Officer at AMO, joined government officials, policymakers, and private sector leaders to discuss AI's role in empowering Africa.
The event focused on fostering responsible AI innovation to help African nations achieve their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), address emerging challenges, and promote strong regional and international collaboration.
